It may have been one of my favourite Date or Ditch's this morning.  Darren picked Carolyne and at the end of the game they kept on talking all over each other!  It was awkwardly amazing!  She told him she has a spare ticket for a ride in her air balloon - if they get on tonight lets hope they get to go flying with each other.  Find out if they get on at 8 tomorrow morning.

He's a beardy, national treasure and loud lovey!

It's Brian Blessed and he was on our Celebrity Yes No Game this morning.  It took Big John 29 seconds to guess who it was this morning and then he talked and talked and talked ...  He's lovely though and put a big smile on our face!  If you missed him then make sure you tune in after 6 tomorrow morning.

I'm sorry ...

This morning I confessed that I got caught speeding over the Snake Pass.  I genuinely thought it was 60 mph but it was 50.  So yesterday I went on a Speed Awareness course in Rotherham.  I actually learnt quite a lot and needless to say Big John hasn't let up on it all morning.  I should've kept my mouth shut.

Did you hear 30 something Date or Ditch this morning?  Nick picked Rachel from Doncaster and they're off on a date tonight.  They bonded over profiteroles, he asked Rach what her favourite pudding was and that's what brought them together on the radio.  Lets hope they bond over some nice food tonight at the Hui Wei Restaurant in Sheffield.  Find out how they got on tomorrow morning at 8.

Friday!

Harsh James and his date Stephanie went on their date last night to Nando's on Eccy Road.  Stephanie didn't fancy him because he didn't have enough meat on his bones and was too skinny.  She said they got on but she isn't going to talk to him again!

Lynn was an early bird and got herself that cash!

Natalie won yesterday - can you win today?

24 hours to tell us your Bridget Jones clothing disaster

Did you hear Charlotte this morning?  I was laughing my head off this morning at her story and the way she told it.  She was at a wedding walking up the altar and her Uncle Mick - bloomin Uncle Mick - tripped her up.  Her bra strap got caught on a piece of cotton and her bra pinged open.  Her dress then ripped all the way up, her Bridget Jones big knickers (Spanx) were on show and her boobs were on the loose (her exact words!)  The poor girl, she was mortified!  But it has won her and her mates a trip to Doncaster for Ladies Day next Thursday.  If you've got a good story tell us now. http://www.hallamfm.co.uk/win/ladbrokes-st-leger/

Janet nearly died!

There was an absolutely shocking story this morning about clothing calamitys!  Poor Janet was borrowing some heated hair rollers and when she was jumping over her neighbours fence she got her Croc shoe stuck.  Her hair rollers went flying and so did Janet but she landed on top of them and broke 4 ribs.  She thought she was actually dying and had to crawl up her neighbours drive and she couldn't breathe!  They called the paramedics and she was carted off to hospital all dressed up but with damp soggy hair and broken ribs.  Needless to say she won this morning and will be taking 3 friends off to Doncaster Racecourse next Thursday for a free day out at Ladies Day.  I'll have to keep my eye on her as she's still fragile as it only happened in June!

Button on your bonce!

This morning we heard from Margretta and she went to church with her family when she was little and she was wearing a hat and her sister pulled a thread from it.  Slowly but surely the hat began to unravel and all she was left with was a button on her head!  Her whole family were told to leave the Church by the Priest!  She came on the radio to tell us that story and she won a day at Doncaster Races at Ladies Day next week.  Have you had a fashion disaster where it's all gone wrong for you?  Tell us about it and you and three friends could be going next Thursday.

It's not about the Price Tag!

Thanks for making us laugh this morning at your clothing disaster stories!  Laura told us this morning that she went to a work conference when she was only 18 and new to the job and she'd had some men glancing over at her and she thought she'd pulled!  They were just laughing at her because she had a £4 reduced tag hanging out of the back of her shirt!

Michaela topped that story though with her water slide story at Butlins.  She was wearing a tankini and didn't realised when she's got off the slide that her boob was out.  She walked all the way around the pool for ages while a life guard ooogled her.  She eventually saw the offending boob and put it away.  The lifeguard only turned out to be a red coat and turned up after dinner!  Gutted!

X Factor celebrity on the show tomorrow morning!

Lucy Spraggan has shot to fame after her X Factor audition last Saturday.  She played her own song called 'Last Night' and it sounded brilliant!  It was that good that it shot to number 2 on the Itunes chart but she had to take it down to make it fair to the other contestants.  We bumped into her yesterday and she's going to come in and have a chat with us tomorrow at 8.

This morning Shaun was the lucky man choosing between 3 ladies.  He chose line 2, Natalie from Rotherham.  She's just finished 50 Shades of grey - good lass!  They're off tonight to Hui Wei Restaurant on Glossop Road for a VIP night out.  See if they get on tomorrow morning at 8.

The ungrateful .....

So yesterday on the way home at the Airport in Malaga I made the effort to buy Big John and James a little pressie from my weekend away.  They wouldn't let me give them to them because I said they were 'fun' presents.  After 30 minutes they let me give them their gifts.  Look at their grateful little faces ....

Yes it's a bull note pad and a senorita oven glove, I mean who wouldn't want them?!

Thanks for all your help with the Google Ban questions I had this morning.  If you've not heard it before either me or Big John is banned from Google over the weekend and we ask you the questions we'd of looked up.  One of my questions was why does your metabolism slow down when you get older?  It's because over the weekend I ate cod, squid, prawns, scallops, paella, lamb chops, chips, pork, pizza, pancakes, ice cream, pastries, doritos and drank red wine & jd.  If you missed it make sure you listen tomorrow morning after 6.

I passed my test!

I'm off to Spain tonight but I had to earn my holiday by doing a Spanish test and luckily I passed so I'm off today.

This morning Cacey chose line one, Dan, on Date or Ditch.  They were both very nervous but she must've known he was the right guy as she didn't even move on to the next line.  Date or Ditch has worked 3 times in a row and hopefully this will be the 4th time it works!  Find out if they get on this Friday at 8!

Before you judge me I was only 7 and as most little girls are a little bit curious as to why we have different pieces of anatomy than boys.  So luckily Jonathon Brumhead came to my rescue behind the frog bin in the playground.  This all came out on air last week and now Big John has tracked him down and messaged him on Facebook on my behalf.  Will I get a reply?

Our Golden Girl is home!

Jess is back in Sheffield where she belongs!  Thanks for all of your suggestions for what we should give her for a home coming present.  We went with the digital radio idea and jess was really pleased with it!  Here she is with the radio.

This weekend Big John had the Google Ban and he was armed with questions this morning.  What does having 'Freedom to the City' mean?  Jess Ennis was given it on Friday and he didn't have a clue what it means.  Why do alarm clocks only snooze for 9 minutes and why does his wife make him refill the kettle when he makes her a brew instead of re-boiling it?  All valid questions and if you missed it listen again after 6 tomorrow.

Sam meet Dan, he's your date for the night!

You got a piece of sweetcorn stuck where!?

2 year old Hartley got a piece of sweetcorn stuck up her nose!  She got taken into hospital and the doctor had to blow through her mouth and pinch her other nostril for it to fly out.  This is dangerous so don't try it at home!  We had lots of people calling in about things they got stuck up their nose and then it turned into ears ...

Jody called in and made me feel sick!  Her son had a spider crawl into his ear and again he was rushed into hospital because it was biting inside his ear.  Luckily it made it's way out on it's own but seriously that must be the weirdest sensation ever!

This morning Alison from Ecclesfield  won tickets to Yorkshire Wildlife Park for her family.  Ha ha Hallamster was dressed up as an Ostrich and he was wandering round on his back legs.  All you have to do is guess what animal he's dressed up as (he'll give you clues) and you could win a family pass tomorrow morning at 8:30.

I'm in trouble ...

I accidentally locked my boyfriend out last night.  He's very lucky because his friend had a spare ticket for the Olympic Closing Ceremony so he went to London yesterday.  His phone ran out of battery, he lost his friend and then thought he'd get the last train back to Sheffield.  I didn't know he was coming home and locked the door and left the key in the door.  So he got back at 1:30am and had to sleep in his car until I got up for work - oooops.  I laughed but he didn't see the funny side of it.  Maybe he will after a sleep?

GLYNN WON!!!!!

SO excited for Handsworth's Glynn who has given his girlfriend a brand new Fiat 500 with Stoneacre Motor Group.  Taio Cruz drew his idea of summer on the car and thousands of applicants applied and our final 5 contestants were live in the studio this morning.  It was very tense and we had a knockout round of questions and then it was finally between two people Sarah & Glynn.  Glynn got the final question right and we threw him into the car to try it out!

It's muggings here that's got the Google Ban this weekend so if you can help me with my questions this Monday I'd be really grateful - ta.  They will probably be a bit random knowing me. 

Jess and Steven's date was a success!  They hit it off after meeting on Date or Ditch yesterday and they were out in Sheffield last night after a lovely meal in Zizzi's.

From hailstones and power cuts to chicken pox ...

If you're not going abroad this year and you're having a 'staycation' then you'll of been pleased about what we were talking about this morning, holiday disasters!  There were some brilliant stories this morning.  Poor Margretta was going on her honeymoon when she noticed spots appearing on her daughter.  It was chicken pox!  So she hid her on the floor under a blanket on the plane.  They had to stay in for the first week of the holiday and then her husband got it too!  Nightmare, and Jake went away and the hailstones started throwing it down and they were all scared stiff because they were in complete darkness due to a power cut.

I can't walk, I've been sweating and every muscle in my body aches ...

I felt inspired yesterday by the Olympics so me and my boyfriend went for a bike ride.  Sounds like a good idea when the weather is nice?  We did 6 miles and felt fine so went on to do another 12 miles - 18 in total.  Last night I felt really tired and then this morning I woke up and EVERYTHING aches.  I had to have painkillers it was that bad and then proceeded to sweat crazily for the first two hours of the show.  I've cooled down now but won't be going on a bike for  a while .....

This morning we had the drummer from Pulp on the show - Nick Banks!  He's got his own pottery shop in Catcliffe and Pulp are rounding their tour up by playing here in Sheffield where it all began.  They'll be playing on the 8th of December at the Motorpoint Arena.

We've missed you!

It's our first day back after our hols and what an amazing weekend it's been for South Yorkshire.  Sheffield's Jessica Ennis has done us proud this weekend!  In honour of her win the post box near City Hall has been painted gold, naturally I decided to spray Hallamster gold too but he went a little bit ginger - ooops.

Hot Dean plays Date or Ditch!

This morning it was Dean choosing the ladies and he went for Karen on line 2.  Dean is Scottish and new to the area and they're off to Zizzi's in Leopold Square for some VIP treatment and hopefully some lurrrvvvveeeee.  We'll be calling them at 8am to see how they got on tomorrow morning.

Missing legs ...

This morning we were talking about 'Lost Property!'  Things that have been found and returned here in South Yorkshire.  One guy found £200 in a cash machine and handed it back to the guy who lost it.  The guy was very generous and gave him £40 to say thank you - 20% isn't bad is it?  I think my favourite story was when someone found a prosthetic leg on the road and handed it into a chemist!  If you missed it listen again tomorrow at 6.

James has beaten me (again!) at the Spellings Test and out totals for the year are 19 to James and 17 to me.  I'll have to wait till the school holidays are over to give him a good thrashing.

This morning we had Dr Christian Jessen on the Celebrity Yes No Game!  He's a lovely man and sounds a little bit posh.  We were quite surprised that he's still a practising GP and some of his patients get star struck when they come to the surgery.  If you missed it you can listen again at 6 tomorrow morning.  Oh he told us that nuts were good for us too ....

Nipples!

Do you want to know why men have nipples?  I've always wondered that because men don't have to breast feed?  When we're embryos we're all girls as a template for the first 6 weeks and then either form into girls and then boys.  That was one of Big John's questions this morning after he had the Google Ban over the weekend.  We didn't have time to answer his final question which was 'Why does looking at a bright light when you feel a sneeze coming on, actually make you sneeze?'  If you can help him call us tomorrow morning.

Tomorrow morning we'll have a celebrity on the satellite and Big John has to guess who it is.  It could be anyone, an actor, singer, comedian, presenter and he can only ask questions that they can answer 'yes or no' to.  I reckon you could probably beat him if you're guessing along at home.

This is the man we've been reading about, flying Anastacia Steele around in his massive chopper, issuing 20 page contracts of bizarre requests and he has the weirdest recreational room ever.  But at least now we can put a face to the errrm - well filth quite frankly!

I've got face ache from lauging so hard!  71 year old Fred took three lovely ladies on a date last night to the Showroom in Sheffield.  They had a brilliant time.  I hope you heard it this morning, it was absolutely priceless.  He's got all Jayne, Linda and Margaret's numbers now in case he wants to go out on dates with them and said he felt like Hugh Heffner from the Playboy Mansion.  Fred I salute you!

It's me that's got the Google Ban this weekend. I can't tell you how frustrating it is when you have a question and you can't use the internet.  Please give me a hand on Monday and help us prove that South Yorkshire is better than the internet.

4 Shades of Grey!

I really hope you heard OAP Date or Ditch this morning!  I was crying with laughter, it was so funny!  If you missed it make sure you listen from 6.
Jack Lawrence wrote on twitter 'This date or ditch on @hallamfm doesn't get much funnier = class! Already looking forward to tomorrows feedback!' and Jools wrote @hallamfm I have just laughed soooo much at that !! The woman with the hairy back lol :-)    

Fred couldn't make his mind us so we let him choose all three ladies.  Jayne even told us about her hairy back, the fact she's broken her toe on a night out and she rides a motorbike!  Personally I can't wait to hear what happened in the morning!  Don't miss it at 8am.

Vorders!

This morning we had the wonderful Carol Vorderman on the show.  She told us some juicy gossip about her Countdown days.  If you missed it listen again after 6am tomorrow morning.
Tomorrow the competition is on ... It's the Spellings Test and it's not how to spell it's what they are spelling?  Our school of the week will be on the show and some young kids will be spelling words and James and I have to guess the words.  We get very competitive and you can play along while you're listening.

Fancy seeing Katy Perry's new film Part of Me?  You could be the first to see it this Thursday in Cineworld in Sheffield if you can play one of us at our new game 'Tongue Tennis' it's not as bad as it sounds!  It's a word association game and if you can beat us then you're off to see it.  Listen out at 8:30 for your chance to win.

Do you want to see Katy Perry?

Make sure tomorrow morning that you listen out to win tickets to see Katy Perry's new film Part of Me.  Everyone loves the Perry!  We're going to play a little game so if you're a big fan and you want to see her film before the rest of South Yorkshire make sure you're listening.

Big John had the Google Ban over the weekend and thanks if you called in to help him this morning.  One of his questions was about how much things used to cost.  can you believe in the 80's you could get a Mars Bar and a can of pop for 20p?!  Bargain.

Tomorrow morning it's the 'Yes No Game' where we have a celebrity on the phone and Big John has to guess who it is on the satelitte.  Guess along at home.
